M.B. Foster Associates Limited and its affiliates ("MBF" or "We") continues to make a concerted commitment to safeguard the private and personal information which we receive from and about our customers or any other individual from whom we receive information as a result of collecting information on our website or through direct contact with any one of our employees. Our primary customers are businesses and corporations and as such, we are unlikely to collect information which is considered "personal in nature" and almost never collect information which might be considered of a "personal sensitive" nature. Even so, in the event we do collect information which is personal in nature, we make this commitment to maintain and safeguard it so as to protect and respect your privacy. Where we collect information from an employee of a company or business organization in conjunction with that employee's relationship with the company, personal information does not include the name, title, business address, business e-mail address or telephone number of that employee.

We are particularly mindful of the fact that protecting an individual's privacy on the Internet is crucial to the future of Internet use and business conducted through the Internet economy. Our commitment to you to safeguard your information is reflected in our MBF Privacy Policy which governs the behavior of all of our employees as they collect, use and disclose our customers' personal information. We have updated this Privacy Policy to reflect specific changes which federal privacy legislation require of us.

Our policy will explain to you in detail and clear terms why we collect personal information from you and how we will use this information. Most importantly we will provide you with a clear understanding of how we protect this information once we have received it from you. This is our commitment to all of our customers and any individual we collect information from.

At MB Foster we are committed to maintaining and having the highest respect for our customers' privacy. This is why we have created this webpage so that we can inform you about our privacy practices.

The following is a brief summary of our privacy practices and what you can expect from us in that regard.

How do we collect information from you

There are a number of ways and sources from and through which we may collect information from you or about you.

  1. When you visit the MBF web site, our web server collects information which is not identifiable to any particular person. We identify your IP address and resolve it into a domain name. When you do visit our site we only recognize the domain name and no other information. This information allows us to diagnose problems, administer our web site and gather [non-personal] demographic information. In general this aggregate information will not identify you personally. If we do correlate any information back to you specifically, we will treat this information in accordance with our privacy policy.
  2. In order for you to access certain portions of our web site (to download, license our products on-line, enter a contest, complete a survey or register for a seminar) we may ask you to provide us with personal information that helps to identify you for that purpose.
  3. We are in the business of selling goods and services to our customers. In order for us to do that successfully we must market them to you. Whether we market to a prospective customer or sell to an existing customer we may ask you to provide us with personal information in order to serve you better. We may also ask you to provide us with information about the organization to which you belong.
  4. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our products and to provide you with better technical support. In doing so, we may ask you for information which will allow us to do so.
  5. Our administration department does much to run the day-to-day operations of our business. They are responsible for such things as shipping you product, sending and collecting invoices, creating reports so that we can better serve our customers, collecting information about how to contact you and information about the organization you work for. We also collect information so that we can negotiate our contracts as well as meet our legal obligations in the markets we sell into.
  6. Our HR department is much more concerned with collecting personal information than any other department at MBF. You may have contact with them as a prospective employee such as providing your resume. We collect and use this information only for the purpose of employment consideration and your inquiry about our company.
